I'm Nontobeko
Welcome to my blog, thanks for being here. If you are reading this blog, I want you to know that I am as authentic as I can be, but I am also protective of my personal space. Contrary to popular belief, those can be mutually exclusive. I will be honest, I won't share everything with you because this is my life and I am currently living it, but rest assured that whatever I chose to share in this space, will be my authentic self. I am not afraid of vulnerability because it breeds intimacy and healing an helps form real and long lasting relationships. I have learned that my best relationships were born out me being my true-self. I am always learning and thriving to grow, this blog documents my journey of self-discovery. My opinions about things change from time to time and as I grow that is to be expected, but the core of who I am and my fundamental beliefs have remained the same over time.
So welcome to the Womanistar tribe!
NICE TO SEE YOU HERE
Daughter, Arise
There comes a time in every woman’s life when she looks around at the fragments of her story the pain, the silence, the performance, the shame and wonders if this is all there is?
But what if the story isn’t over? What if the place where you've been buried is not your final chapter, but the very ground where resurrection begins?
Daughter, Arise is a call to rise from the ashes of everything that was meant to destroy you trauma, culture, silence, survival and step into the life your Creator always had in mind.
It’s not a self-help manual or a self-love bandage. It’s a deep, divine invitation to return to the One who knew your name before you were ever wounded. The One who still speaks life over dead places. The One who still takes little girls by the hand and says, “Talitha koum.”
With prophetic boldness and tender truth, author Nontobeko Kolstad walks with you through the war zones of womanhood—unpacking the wounds we carry, the lies we've believed, the scriptures that were twisted, and the power we've forgotten. From the quiet ache of comparison to the loud trauma of abuse, from purity culture to performative feminism, from distorted theology to divine identity—this book leaves no stone unturned.
But it doesn't stop with pain , but it leads you through it and out.
This book is for the woman who has lost her voice, lost her way, or lost her hope. It’s for the one who has been performing to be accepted, surviving to be safe, or hiding just to be loved. It’s for the one who still believes somewhere deep down that there must be more. And there is. This is the moment where Jesus leans in and says: “Get up, daughter. I’m not done with you yet.”
“Speak Love Like You Mean It” is a 30-day guided affirmation book crafted for women who are ready to stop doubting themselves and start showing up like the main character. Whether you're navigating healing, setting new boundaries, or learning to love your reflection again—this book is your daily reminder that you are already enough.

Sostre Magazine
Sostre Magazine is a storytelling space built around real women, real voices, and real connection. She is a brand new baby, that I am still naturing, redirecting and fine-tuning.
ā
At its core, it's about sisterhood—amplifying the lived experiences of women across cultures, generations, and walks of life. We dive into everything from personal growth, identity, and mental wellness to beauty, relationships, and cultural change.
ā
We tell the stories you don’t always hear in the mainstream—messy ones, brave ones, joyful ones, quiet ones—and we tell them with respect, heart, and zero judgment.
ā
It’s a magazine that feels like sitting in a circle of women you trust, where you’re seen, heard, and reminded you’re not alone.
Because Sostre isn’t just a magazine—it’s a movement.
It’s where women come to feel understood, not edited.
Where stories become lifelines.
Where readers don’t just scroll—they feel, they nod, they exhale, “Finally, someone said it.”
ā
We don’t chase trends. We tell truths.
We create content that lingers in your mind and lands in your heart.
Whether it’s a raw essay about reclaiming your voice, a vulnerable convo about motherhood and ambition, or a deep dive into what self-love actually looks like—Sostre shows up with you, not at you.
This is womanhood in all its forms, and every reader is already part of the story
ā
That’s the soul of Sostre.
